The Role of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Supervisor calls for a skilled ARNP/PA-C with proven leadership abilities and clinical expertise within the Cardiology department. In this position, you will oversee a team of APPs, coordinating schedules, managing performance, and collaborating with leadership to achieve departmental objectives. Reporting to the practice manager/SLD, the APP Supervisor will work closely with the department physician manager.

Essential Functions

1. Allocate approximately 10% of time to administrative duties and 90% to maintaining clinical practice.
2. Act as a local advocate to uphold vision of compassionate care and community dedication.
3. Demonstrate leadership qualities such as teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.
4. Collaborate with department leaders to optimize advanced practice care models.
5. Monitor and manage APP performance metrics and quality outcomes.
6. Support team in achieving clinical practice and professional development goals.
7. Conduct performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with HR.
8. Foster a culture of innovation and change within the practice.
9. Represent APPs in addressing significant clinical issues and barriers.
10. Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new APP candidates.
11. Coordinate APP work schedules, staffing, and service-related activities.
12. Facilitate communication within the APP team and participate in department meetings.
13. Engage in committee work as required.
14. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse and ARNP licensure or Active Physician Assistant licensure in Washington.
• Active DEA license.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an APP in the relevant department.
• Thorough knowledge of state regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-directed with initiative-taking capabilities.
• Familiarity with department policies and procedures.
• BLS/ACLS certification.
• Completion of Leadership training in Performance Review and Leadership.

Desired:

• 5 years of APP experience.
