Production Assembler

Join our dynamic team as a Production Assembler, where you will play a crucial role in assisting with the transition to our new facility. You will be involved in the construction of various-sized control panels, working across different stations such as Prep, Layouts, and Wiring.

• Electrically assemble, wire, and route components according to work orders and build instructions.
• Use hand tools and cordless power tools to complete electrical and mechanical assemblies.
• Perform point-to-point wiring, terminations, crimping, and basic electrical connections.
• Read, understand, and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and build documentation.
• Verify proper wire routing, labeling, and connections per specifications.
• Perform basic electrical checks to ensure assemblies are complete and functioning correctly.
• Maintain an organized workspace and properly store tools and materials.
• Communicate issues, missing parts, or discrepancies to supervisors or team leads.
• Follow all safety standards and company procedures during assembly operations.
• Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams as part of ongoing training.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential assembly or quality issues.

• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
• Experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• 2-3 years of assembly experience.
• 1 year of electrical assembly/wiring experience.
• Ability to understand work orders/instructions and learn schematics.
• Capability to lift 50lbs occasionally.
• Ownership and usage of a complete set of hand/power tools.

• Experience with wire sensors, transformers, and IR plates is a plus.

Work in a very clean, well-lit facility that has recently been upgraded. The schedule includes shifts from 6 AM to 4 PM/6 PM, Monday through Saturday, totaling 60-70 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
