The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Operations Coordinator in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX.

The primary role of the Legal Operations Coordinator is to provide support to the Legal and Compliance department.

Responsibilities

• Support the contract management system by processing assigned intake requests, handling subsidiary organization requests, managing express-lane template workflows, and updating contract metadata.

• Handle the review and payment of invoices for the Legal department, including Records Retention.

• Process mail for the Legal and Compliance teams, including scanning and forwarding mail to offsite staff, tracking all service of process, and uploading matters to the contract management system when appropriate

• Support the Legal Operations Manager in maintaining SharePoint sites owned by Legal and Compliance.

• Provide general support to the attorneys on using Legal's AI tools and Microsoft Office tools, including formatting documents and comparing contract versions.

• Assist the Records Manager with overseeing the destruction of materials placed in shred bins at the National Center and researching requests for archived historical information.

• Support legal operations and compliance projects assigned by the National Senior Director of Compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3 years of relevant work experience

• Experience with Microsoft Office

• Experience with records management software

• Microsoft SharePoint training and experience

• Skill in problem solving and decision making, ability to conceptualize and organize complex information and knowledge.
