As a top ranked program at a public university, we welcome applicants from a broad spectrum of dance practices with expertise in any one or all of the following: Jazz, Modern, Cotemporary, Ballroom, Tap or Choreography. The successful candidate will lead studio practice and lecture courses and may create performance works in their area of specialty. The candidate will contribute to the School of Dance through teaching that contributes to the mission of the university. The School of Dance fosters a student-centered learning environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and conceptual analysis skills. Duties & Responsibilities Teachall levels of studio courses in one or more forms of Jazz, Modern,Cotemporary, Ballroom, Tap or Choreography. Mentorundergraduate and graduate students. Instructorsmay teach the following dance practices/courses: Dance Technique/StudioCourses. Choreographic Pedagogy andMentoring. Improvisational Forms. Music and DanceCollaboration. Business/Careers in Dance. Dance History—includingnon-western histories. General Education LargeLecture Courses in-person/online. Dance Technology andDigital Media. Video should demonstrate ability to deliver:

1. An effective warm up.
2. Informed corrections and communication skills.
3. Movement exercises that are appropriate to the level.
4. A progression and adaptation of content that is made clear to students and evident to the review committee.
