RN - Labor and Delivery (Epic)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 36–48 hours per week (3 or 4 x 12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinate patient care with other disciplines and departments
• Apply critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in clinical decision-making
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly within the Epic EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Epic EMR experience required within the last 12 months
• Cerner EMR experience within the last 5 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQI BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
• Each work history submission must include the charting system used; if multiple EMR systems were used in a single role, dates clarifying usage of each system must be provided

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
• Previous Labor and Delivery specialty experience
