This position is primarily responsible for managing and completing projects while taking responsibility for scheduling and budgets. This position participates in the marketing and selling of the project, setting the fees, and negotiating contracts for medium and smaller projects. This position utilizes and oversees draftsmen, project engineers, design engineers, junior engineers, and or interns. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Job Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duty satisfactorily:Cultivates and maintains direct client contact.Reviews and understands the scope, budgeted hours, and schedule for each project, and ensures they are met.Signatory approval on projects up to 15K.Identifies areas of concern, works with management to resolve internally or present to the client.Participates in marketing and selling of projects, setting fees, and negotiating contracts.Determines all structural systems (gravity, lateral, etc.)Assist Project Managers with challenges regarding smaller contractsInstruct junior staff to ensure all elements are properly designed.Instruct drafters to ensure all designs are properly drafted.Coordinates and checks the final calculation package for content, completeness, and correctnessPerforms final coordination and checking of drawings to ensure content, quality, and accuracy complies with our standards.Works with management to ensure conformance with project scope and local codes, to review and respond to comments from the client or reviewing agency, and to resolve field issues, RFI responses, NCR Responses, etc.Assists in training engineers and drafters through field visits and/or in-house training.Ensures proper documentation is obtained and/or prepared for each job.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervise Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, Drafters, and Interns.To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate understanding of engineering principles and practicesProblem-Solving: Use logical thinking to identify and resolve issuesCommunication: Effectively convey ideas through written and verbal meansTeam Collaboration: Collaborate with others and contribute positively to team effortsAdaptability & Curiosity: Quickly learn new methods and embrace changeAttention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and precision in tasksTime Management: Manag priorities and meets deadlinesInitiative: Take proactive steps to contribute and growCompliance and Ethics: Follow policies and maintain ethical standardsContinuous Improvement: Seek personal and professional growth opportunitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge or experience in the following:Microsoft package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Software ADAPT PT, or similar PT programSP Column or similar concrete analysis programETABS or similar concrete shear wall analysis programBentley RAM Elements, or similar program like RISASAP20 or similar general analysisAUTOCAD/REVITBluebeam Revu or another PDF viewerJob Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in construction/civil engineering. Master's degree in Structural Engineering, from an accredited university or program is a plus. Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience in handling all aspects of structural projects. P.E. License is required Project management certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) are a plus. LEED certification a plus.Job Details: Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Las Vegas, NV.
