Assignments may involve operating fuel tankers, cargo vehicles, or other CDL-class equipment while ensuring full compliance with DOT, hazmat, environmental, and installation-specific regulations.This role is temporary and on an as-needed basis, with work schedules dependent upon operational requirements.What does a typical day look like for a Hazmat CDL Driver?You will:Safely operate CDL-class vehicles, including fuel tankers and hazmat transport vehiclesTransport hazardous materials, fuel, and mission-related supplies to and from government and military facilitiesConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company safety standardsEnsure proper placarding, documentation, and handling of hazardous materialsMaintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, OSHA, and hazmat transportation regulationsFollow all safety and environmental procedures while loading, transporting, and unloading materialsCoordinate with dispatch personnel, site managers, and government representativesMaintain accurate trip logs, inspection reports, and transport documentationOperate professionally and safely on military installations and secure government facilitiesWhat qualifications do you look for?Valid CDL Class A or B license (Class A preferred)Current Hazmat Endorsement requiredClean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirementsExperience operating fuel tankers or transporting hazardous materialsAbility to obtain and maintain access to military and government installationsStrong understanding of DOT hazmat regulations and safety proceduresAbility to work flexible and intermittent schedules based on operational needsWe will be extra impressed if you have:Previous experience supporting government or military logistics operationsExperience working on or around military installationsTWIC card preferredFamiliarity with fuel handling and spill prevention proceduresPrior experience with tactical or specialized transport operationsWork Environment & Schedule:Work may be performed outdoors in varying weather conditionsDrivers may be required to travel locally or regionally in support of operationsPosition may require early morning, evening, weekend, or short-notice assignmentsWhat kind of benefits does Terrestris Offer?We offer outstanding benefits including health, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs.
