NP or PA, MyCare 365 Primary Care & Urgent Care, Multiple Locations

Overview The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work under the general supervision of their Medical Director, all physician partners, and their APP Manager in WakeMed Physician Practices to deliver competent medical care to patients at WakeMed. This position can consist of both inpatient and outpatient care depending on the needs of the service and is outlined in the clinical job expectations. Responsibilities include completing referrals, consults, daily patient rounds, daily notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, pre and post procedure care, prescribing, and patient care follow-ups. The PA/NP will work closely with other healthcare providers in a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to maximize the care we provide to our patients. The PA/NP may also function as an educator for PA/NP/CNM students from healthcare education programs. The PA/NP must maintain scope of practice in accordance with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing, as well as federal and state regulations and WakeMed policies. Additional certifications such as Advanced Life Support may be required based on the clinical area of practice and will be reviewed annually during the annual review process.
