Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector $25-35/hr 1st or 2nd shift available Job Description We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Plate Inspector to perform dimensional and quality inspections on machined and fabricated components. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CMM equipment, reading blueprints, interpreting GD&T, and utilizing precision inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other quality measuring devices. Responsibilities Conduct dimensional and quality inspections on aerospace components. Operate CMM equipment for precise measurements. Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T. Utilize precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Perform first article inspections (FAI). Conduct surface plate inspections and optical comparisons. Ensure compliance with quality control and mechanical inspection standards. Document inspection results and report non-conforming materials. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve quality-related issues. Work Environment This role is based in a job shop machine shop environment specializing in aerospace components. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
