Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians
• Operates treatment delivery equipment and supports treatment planning under physician orders
• Verifies patient identity, positioning, and site to ensure accurate treatment delivery
• Monitors patient safety and comfort during procedures; communicates any concerns to the care team
• Documents treatments, doses delivered, and any deviations or patient reactions
• Collaborates with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and therapists to maintain high-quality care and safety standards

Requirements

• Active California Radiation Therapist license or eligibility per state requirements; ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy preferred or as required by employer
• Prior clinical radiation therapy experience is preferred
• Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program or equivalent education (as applicable)
• Ability to work a 40-hour day shift in a travel assignment and adhere to safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail, patient safety focus, and effective communication skills
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary clinical team
