Floor Host

The Floor Host serves as the primary hospitality presence on the office floor and is the "go-to" resource for guests, visitors, and employees. This role is responsible for delivering a high-touch, service-driven experience by providing visible, real-time support throughout the workspace. The Floor Host ensures meetings operate seamlessly, workspaces remain optimized, and the overall environment reflects a polished, hospitality-based culture.

This individual connects guests with the appropriate people and resources, responds to ad hoc requests, and proactively anticipates client needs. The role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment with minimal supervision

Pay Range: $20-22/hr.

Essential Responsibilities

Meeting & Event Support

Provide real-time support for meetings across all office floors by connecting with meeting organizers and guests as meetings begin. Confirm room requirements in advance via email, including lighting, supplies, audio visual equipment, temperature, layout, and special requests to ensure client expectations are met. Provide contact information for in-meeting support and return upon completion to reset rooms for subsequent use.

Floor Presence & Workspace Oversight

Conduct continuous floor tours to ensure meeting rooms, common areas, and workspaces remain in optimal appearance and operational condition. Monitor meeting rooms for participant arrivals and departures, no-shows, and accurate room usage. Open and close designated areas according to operational schedules.

Hoteling & Space Optimization

Support the client's mobile workplace and hoteling culture by assisting guests with securing workspace. Verify room occupancy and reclaim unused meeting space as appropriate. Ensure reserved space is being utilized efficiently and aligned with capacity expectations.

Client Support & Issue Resolution

Serve as a first point of contact for questions and service needs. Utilize available tools and resources to provide first-point-of-contact resolution whenever possible. Maintain awareness of in-house and building functions to provide timely and knowledgeable responses in person, via email, and over the phone.

Facilities & Equipment Coordination

Partner with Facilities and maintenance teams to ensure the space remains pristine. Submit service tickets and communicate issues such as damaged furniture, lighting concerns, carpet stains, or technology malfunctions. Ensure additional equipment is returned to appropriate storage locations and secured when not in use.

Reporting & Documentation

Capture and document customer interactions and meeting activity. Provide reporting as required to track service trends and operational effectiveness.

Policy & Compliance

Adhere to Forrest Solutions and client policies and procedures, including safety regulations. Client policies and processes will supersede when applicable.

Training & Development

Participate in required training sessions and complete assigned coursework or certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in a service-driven environment such as hospitality, hotel or restaurant operations, event planning, or corporate office services preferred. Experience working in a professional corporate environment is strongly preferred.

Strong technical proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and familiarity with workplace management systems such as EMS, Condeco, Robin, or Outlook. Basic audio visual troubleshooting skills required, including support for Teams, Zoom, Webex, and wireless presentation tools.

Demonstrated ability to remain poised and professional in a fast-paced environment. Strong listening skills and executive-level polish required. Ability to interact confidently with clients and professionals at all levels of the organization.
