Production Supervisor

(Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education) Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Production Supervisor to support a large-scale industrial manufacturing operation in East Chicago, IN. This individual will lead day-to-day production activities within a slag processing environment located onsite at a major steel facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting and a proven ability to drive safety, quality, and production performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing production staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring operations run efficiently while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of production operators in a 24/7 manufacturing environment Oversee the slag production process, including material collection, processing, transport, and storage Monitor production output to ensure quality standards and production targets are consistently met Adjust production schedules and workflows to meet operational demands Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and downtime causes in real time Enforce and promote health, safety, and environmental compliance standards Conduct shift handoffs and communicate daily priorities and performance metrics Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field)
- 1–3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Experience working in heavy industrial environments (steel, cement, mining, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA-style environments
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
