Tax Manager (CPA)
PrideStaff Financial has been partnered with a dynamic, high-growth tax and advisory firm to recruit a technically elite and operationally disciplined Tax Manager.
In this role, you will be the engine of the tax departmentdriving technical accuracy, maintaining team accountability, and ensuring seamless execution during peak cycles. As the firm continues to scale, you will play a vital role in strengthening the department's foundation through hands-on leadership and process refinement.
Primary Objectives
Departmental Leadership: Direct the daily activities of the tax team, providing the mentorship and training necessary to elevate staff performance and technical proficiency.
Technical Quality Control: Manage the end-to-end preparation and high-level review of complex tax returns for diverse business entities and high-net-worth individuals.
Operational Excellence: Partner with internal departments to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure all deadlines are met with precision.
Strategic Coordination: Act as a key point of contact for clients when high-level consultation is required and potentially coordinate with offshore/outsourced support teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are seeking a proactive CPA who leads by example and thrives in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
Licensure: An active CPA license is mandatory.
Professional Experience: 5+ years of progressive tax experience, specifically handling intricate individual and business filings.
Leadership History: Proven experience managing and developing a team; you should be passionate about mentoring and "leveling up" junior staff.
Communication: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable internal and external communication.
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with managing outsourced or offshore tax resources is a significant plus.
