Job Title SPED Instructional Assistant/Personal Care LPN Location North Canyon High School Employment Status Non Interim Position Schedule 9 months, 6.75 hours per day Compensation Grade 26, $27.37 per hour Assignment Dates 08/03/2026 – 05/27/2027 Reporting To School Nurse Essential Functions Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community. Observe, record, and report to the school nurse the condition of the student, including signs and symptoms that may be indicative of a change in the patient's condition. Provide emotional and physical comfort of the student. Assist in the care of the student in accordance with the student's care plan. Assist as needed with other students in the program. Other job‑related duties as assigned. Experience Previous experience working with severely handicapped children. Effective communication skills. Education High School Diploma or GED. Required Testing, Certificates and Licenses Possession of a current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse. Continuing Education / Training Not specified. Clearances Criminal Background Clearance. Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Additional Information FLSA Status – Non Exempt.
