Job Title: Pharmacist – Critical Need Location: Seattle, WA Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Type: Travel Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Domain: Healthcare / Inpatient Pharmacy Pay Rate: Competitive Travel Pay Package Available - $3600 - $3900 weekly Travelers Accepted Application Deadline: Open Until Filled POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pharmacist for a 16-week travel assignment in Seattle, Washington. This position supports inpatient pharmacy distribution operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for order verification, final product verification, answering clinical questions, supporting emergency response activities, and overseeing pharmacy technician functions. The role also supports specialty/oncology infusion services and limited after-hours outpatient dispensing operations. The ideal candidate will have direct inpatient pharmacy experience, strong clinical knowledge, and familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems. Candidates must be comfortable working variable shifts in a 24/7/365 operation. REQUIRED SKILLS Primary (Must-Have): Active Washington (WA) Pharmacist License Current BLS Certification Direct inpatient pharmacy experience Experience with order verification using Epic Final product verification experience Ability to answer clinical questions and provide drug information Experience overseeing pharmacy technician functions Ability to participate in Code Blue/emergency response situations Understanding of USP 797 and USP 800 standards Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment Preferred: Experience with Pyxis systems Specialty and/or Oncology infusion pharmacy experience Experience with after-hours outpatient dispensing Experience in hospital pharmacy distribution operations Ability to adapt to variable scheduling requirements ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform inpatient pharmacy order verification using Epic Complete final product verification checks for medication accuracy and safety Provide drug information and answer clinical pharmacy questions Oversee and support pharmacy technician workflow and functions Participate in Code Blue and emergency response activities Support specialty and oncology infusion pharmacy operations Assist with limited after-hours outpatient dispensing services Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and regulatory standards Maintain adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient care Accurately document pharmacy activities and interventions Maintain medication safety and quality assurance standards Support pharmacy inventory and distribution processes Perform additional duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership SHIFT DETAILS Schedule: Variable Shift Shift Hours: Primarily Day and Evening Shifts Weekly Hours: 40 Hours Shifts Per Week: 5 x 8-Hour Shifts Guaranteed Work Week (GWW): Yes – 40 Hours On-Call Requirement: As Needed per Facility Guidelines Floating Requirement: Possible based on department needs Block Scheduling: Not Guaranteed Facility Operation: 24/7/365 CONTRACT DETAILS Positions Available: 1 Estimated Contract Hours: 784 Hours Travel Requirement: Up to 50% Time Sheet Frequency: Weekly Time Sheet Type: Standard BENEFITS Medical | Dental | Vision | 401(k) Travel Benefits Package Available (if applicable) Weekly Pay Available EEOC COMPLIANCE We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
