Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgical Specialty

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with strong telemetry experience and expertise in titrating vasoactive medications for our Cardiovascular Surgical Specialty Unit. This role is essential in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient vitals and telemetry data.
• Titrate medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine appropriately.
• Perform procedures including temporary pacing, chest tube removal, and arterial line removal.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Complete bedside shift reports and update patient care boards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have a valid Registered Nurse license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Strong telemetry skills and experience with vasoactive medication titration.
• Experience with chest tubes is preferred; candidates with additional skills such as arterial lines and Flo-Tracs will be prioritized.
