As the Maintenance Equipment Technician, you'll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.Job Location: Newton, IAWhat you'll do:Maintain attendance within acceptable standardsPerform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipmentPerform basic troubleshooting/single phase/240vPerform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulicsPerform troubleshooting/3 Phase/equipment up to 480vMay tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairsWhat you'll need:Experience: Up to 1 YearCertifications: NAPA70ETechnical Skills: NoneWorking Conditions:Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantSafety Activities:Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
