- 24 hr. call shifts -- 7 am to 7 am, 4 shifts per month
- Thursday through Sunday (ending Monday morning)
- Approximately 30,000 ED visits per year
- 15% admission rate of trauma patients
- Sub-specialty backup -- general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and ENT
- General surgery and trauma surgery skills required
- Hospital privileges required
