You won't be figuring it out alone.What you'll do:As a member of the Critical Care Transport Team, you'll work with an Emergency Medical Technician and Dispatch to respond to assigned calls, assess patients, and deliver skilled critical care nursing during interfacility transport. You'll be responsible for supervising the care, ongoing assessment, and treatment of the patient en route to the receiving facility.Provide patient care at a critical care / advanced life support level during interfacility transportDeliver care using critical care nursing skills, ACLS protocols, company protocols, transport orders, and pharmacological knowledgeCoordinate directly with physicians, nurses, allied health staff, patients, and family members to maintain a safe transport environmentSafely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, and residencesOperate the emergency vehicle safely at all times and respond to dispatch instructionsComplete accurate, timely documentation in accordance with company policyMaintain vehicles, stations, communications equipment, medical equipment, and supplies to Northwest Ambulance standardsFollow Northwest Ambulance policies and procedures, including Washington State and County EMS protocolsAttend and participate in continuing educationMaintain strict confidentiality of patient information and company operationsPerform other duties as assigned
