Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary:
Provides strategic leadership for CXI Agentic AI & Analytics discovery, defining AI opportunity framing, process mining direction, agentic roadmap, governance approach, and executive-ready recommendations. The role focuses on AI strategy, agentic opportunity framing, discovery acceleration, solution roadmap, AI governance, process mining direction, analytics insights, and business value framing.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the AI discovery strategy and identify high-value agentic AI opportunities across CXI discovery tracks.
- Guide process mining, analytics, data readiness assessment, and use case prioritization efforts.
- Develop agentic AI solution roadmap concepts, implementation considerations, governance needs, and success measures.
- Partner with business, architecture, and delivery teams to validate feasibility, value, risk, and adoption considerations.
- Prepare executive-level AI findings, opportunity narratives, and roadmap recommendations.
- Provide strategic guidance on AI opportunity prioritization, advanced analytics, and process mining initiatives.
- Support development of AI governance inputs and recommendations.
- Translate AI and analytics findings into clear business value and actionable recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, data science, or AI transformation leadership.
- Healthcare domain experience is required.
- Experience defining AI strategy, ML/AI use cases, data readiness, governance, and analytics roadmaps.
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience providing strategic guidance and executive-level recommendations related to AI and analytics.
- Strong understanding of AI opportunity identification, use case prioritization, and business value framing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare payer, claims, member experience, G&A, audit, or regulatory workflows.
- Experience with healthcare payer initiatives.
- Experience with process mining.
- Experience with automation initiatives.
- Experience with agentic AI.
- Experience leading AI governance initiatives.
- Experience developing agentic AI roadmaps and solution strategies.
