Licensed Psychiatric Technician

*Required:* Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, medical experience, and a valid California Psych Tech license.

*Preferred:* Have knowledge of state and federal laws, Regional Centers, Department of Social Services, Department of Developmental Services, and State Council on Developmental Disabilities. Have knowledge of Title 17 and 22. Have knowledge of dual diagnosis, Individual Program Plans, residents service needs, emergency disaster protocol and behavior plans.

ARFPSHN (Adult Residential Facility for Person's with healthcare needs) is looking for an Psychiatric Technician to serve our individuals that have intellectual disabilities along with various healthcare needs. Along with experience and education listed above, the ideal candidate must be energetic, creative, possess good time management skills, and work well as part of a team, as well as being independent and self-directed.

This position requires flexibility with scheduling and willing to work weekends/holiday's. May be asked to work extended hours and/or varying shifts.

*Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: *

* Follows established standards and procedures, provides supervision, care, support, and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, in a home setting.
* Assist individuals with specific healthcare needs as well as dining, toileting skills, grooming, and appearance.
* Analyze situations accurately, take effective action; follow directions and communicate effectively in English.
* Responsible for attending scheduled training.
* May be required to drive on community outings and escort individuals in a company owned vehicle.
* Is a motivated, independent individual who can organize workload so that all functions are completed appropriately.
