Cici's Italian Cookies is seeking a reliable, hardworking Part-Time Dishwasher to join our bakery team. This role is crucial to our daily production, focusing on handwashing bakery equipment and maintaining a pristine workspace.
We take personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness very seriously. The ideal candidate takes exceptional pride in their work, understands the importance of food safety, and is looking for a foot in the door with a growing business. For the right candidate, this position offers a clear pathway to transition into a full-time kitchen/bakery role.
Schedule
- Total Hours: 22.5 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- No weekends or evening shifts required!
Core Responsibilities
- Handwash large sheet pans, bakery equipment, utensils, and mixing bowls safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and fully sanitized dishwashing station throughout the shift.
- Take out trash, recycling, and compost to designated disposal areas.
- Adhere strictly to kitchen sanitation procedures, personal hygiene standards, and chemical handling guidelines.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds easily and repeatedly.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and move continuously for 4.5-hour periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, wet kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Sanitation Mindset: Must take personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness seriously (e.g., clean attire, frequent handwashing, proper hair restraints).
- Reliability: Excellent punctuality and reliable transportation for early morning starts.
- Growth Potential: A strong desire to learn bakery operations and eventually transition into a full-time kitchen role.
- Experience: Kitchen, bakery, or dishwashing experience is preferred but not required—we will train the right person!
