Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, highly organized, and efficient Medical Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced pediatric practice. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our young patients and their families, delivering exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. You will be responsible for welcoming families, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling administrative tasks to ensure our clinic runs smoothly. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, thrives in a warm, family-friendly environment, and is comfortable using electronic health records systems.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and family members warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out process.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm pediatric patient appointments using our electronic medical software.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and triage messages to appropriate clinical staff.
• Collect and verify patient insurance information, demographics, and copayments accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting room area for children and parents.
• Manage patient charts and handle administrative tasks including faxing, filing, and mail distribution.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative assistant certification is a plus.
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist, ideally within a pediatric or family practice setting.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and medical scheduling platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, family-centered approach.
• Strong multitasking abilities and detail-oriented focus in a busy clinical environment.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare insurance verification processes.
