Physical Therapist- Outpatient Rehab Services

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to the only Level 1 trauma center for complex spine and spinal cord injuries and conditions and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and home to Baystate Rehabilitation, a comprehensive rehab program providing services throughout western Massachusetts is looking for a full time Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team in Springfield, MA.

Schedule:

• Full-time 40 hours
• Clinic hours are M-Th 7a-7p and Fri 7a-5p. Two later shifts per week are expected
• Schedule designed to provide flexibility while supporting patient access

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred)
• Massachusetts Physical Therapist Licensure
• Experienced and new grads welcome to apply
• American Heart Association BLS CPR

Summary:

Assists patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities or recovering from injuries. Treats patients using standard physical therapy procedures. Determines patients capabilities needs interests and goals and prepares individually tailored programs consistent with the physician's diagnosis. At this level incumbent is expected to function independently. This description covers the essential functions of the position. Incumbent is expected to perform other similar and related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluates all assigned patients, develops plan of treatment, provides assessment and assists in discharge planning as appropriate for each discipline.
• Applies treatment plan to patients within established procedures and time frames, as determined by each discipline.
• Completes necessary documentation to comply with professional standards department procedures for initial consult, progress notes, clinical conference notes, and dictate reports.
• Provides information and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other health care personnel involved with patient management.
• Completes department operational procedures, including scheduling, billing, equipment usage, time-off requests and caseload coverage assignments.
• Assist with on-the-job orientation and training for student interns.
• Demonstrates relevant knowledge and application of clinical skills in evaluation, treatment and counseling.
• Meets productivity expectations as determined by the supervisor.
• Attend in-service training, outside seminars and other meetings as directed.

Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$83,054.00 - $103,729.00 - $133,348.00
