Procurement SpecialistProvide comprehensive procurement services including sourcing, negotiating, and buying of goods, materials, and services to meet the new tank construction division's operational requirements and goals.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesExecute sourcing projects for the new tank division, monitoring the supplier market, and implementing the best sourcing strategies to develop the businessAbility to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously ensuring all commitments are delivered & conflicting timelines managed effectively to ensure full stakeholder satisfaction with the Procurement processLead supplier management and performance by influencing, challenging, and collaborating with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and deliver positive outcomes for the businessProcess documentation and invoices to ensure correct and on-time paymentProduce and publish Bill of Materials (BOM) from project drawings detailing required construction materials and equipment to complete each project including Purchase and Manufacturing OrdersProactively monitor market and provide input and recommendations regarding sourcing options, supplier market and market trends to ensure development of the category/sourcing plansCollaborate and support internal business partners to meet and achieve favorable outcomes for their procurement needsEnsure company purchasing policies and procedures are followedObtain material and service quotes for project bidsProfessional Conduct/DevelopmentBuild professional and technical knowledge through continuing education including reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies and educational workshops at the direction of the leadershipMaintain and enhance the Company's image through personal demeanor and methods of conducting businessVisit suppliers to build/maintain professional relationships and develop supply chain relationships at the direction of the department managerLeadershipAssist with operations of the department such as training, workflow assistance, active participation in meetings, and updating department policies, procedures, and documents as directed by the department managerDiscuss any known department work product issues with the department manager and recommend solutionsOther duties as assigned.Essential RequirementsExecute duties in emergency situations with short noticeDemonstrates leadership characteristics and abilityHigh motivation level and attention to detailEffective communication and organizational skillsMust be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job doneAbility to work well with others in a team environmentMinimum QualificationsA.A. in Business or Construction Management or 3 years experience in Procurement with a minimum of 2 years experience in municipal work or construction industryProficiency in MS Word, Excel, and OutlookPreferred QualificationsB.A. in Business or Construction Management or 5 years experience in Procurement with a minimum of 3 years experience in municipal work or construction industryProficient in use of Procurement and Inventory softwareCPSM or similar professional certificationStrong technical or market knowledge of construction processes and materials; particularly rebar and concreteProficient in CostpointWorking ConditionsPrimarily officeOccasional travelExtended hours as necessary to meet deadlinesEEO Statement: CROM, LLC is an equal employment opportunity employer who may provide reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
