Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across multiple surgical specialties, including general, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine.
- Scrub and circulate in the operating room, maintain sterile technique, anticipate instrument needs, and assist the surgical team throughout procedures.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; assist anesthesia and respond to intraoperative events with composure and clear communication.
- Document patient care activities, equipment usage, and postoperative handoffs; ensure patient safety and adherence to best-practice protocols.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, circulating staff, and post-anesthesia care to optimize outcomes; participate in turnover and room readiness.
- May float to another OR area as needed to support service lines; comply with scheduling requirements including on-call and weekend/holiday coverage.

Requirements
- 2+ years of inpatient OR experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred.
- Scrub experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Competent in at least five of the listed surgical service areas; able to adapt to a multi-specialty OR environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume OR setting and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
