Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Outpatient SurgerySchedule: Shift: 2 × 12-hr (10:00 AM – 10:30 PM), Monday – FridayRequirements:License: Compact license requiredCertifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS requiredYears of Experience: Minimum 1 year requiredEMR: Experience with Epic requiredUnit-specific skills:Pre-op assessments and educationIV starts, medication reconciliation, blood product administrationPhase I & II PACU care, airway assessment/managementConscious sedation, basic perioperative and post-op careRoles & Responsibilities:Conduct pre-op assessments and patient education.Initiate IVs and perform medication reconciliation.Provide care in Phase I and II PACU.Assess and manage airways and provide tracheostomy care as needed.Monitor post-operative patients and manage pain effectively.Administer blood products and assist with lumbar punctures.Compliance / Notes:Candidates must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
