Estimated Weekly Gross: $7,000 - $8,500+ per truck
Job Overview
CR Express is seeking experienced CDL-A Owner-Operators and Small Fleets for regional customer work operating out of Bensenville and the greater Illinois area , serving routes across Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky .

Compensation & Settlement Highlights
- Gross Weekly Target: $7,000 – $8,500+ gross per truck for productive weeks with consistent availability (before fuel, deductions, and business expenses) .
- Load-Based Pay: Rates quoted by load, featuring additional compensation for:
- Multi-stop deliveries
- Detention & Layover pay (per agreed load terms)
- Cancellation compensation (when applicable)
- Weekly Settlements: Comprehensive equipment, rental, mileage, escrow, insurance, and settlement terms outlined in our contractor proposal.
Schedule & Home Time
- Home Time Target (Illinois-Based Drivers): Goal of home every other night and every weekend (subject to home location, accepted routes, available driving hours, and customer schedules) .
- Dispatch Times: Pickups are regularly overnight or early morning ( commonly 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM ), with assignment-specific exceptions. Return freight may also pick up late in the evening.
- Route Structure: Dedicated customer work involving multi-stop deliveries and scheduled appointment times.
Equipment & Fleet Options
- Bring Your Own Equipment: Contractors may bring their own truck, trailer, or both.
- Equipment Rental Available: Need equipment? Rent trucks and/or trailers directly through CR Express .
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Must operate as an Independent Contractor (1099) or registered Small Fleet.
- Strong commitment to safety, communication, and on-time appointment deliveries.
- Flexibility to handle overnight and early-morning pickup windows.
