Physical Therapist - School Setting in Pittsburg, CA

Located near Pittsburg, CA, this part‑time position (18–22.5 hours per week) offers the chance to work with students from preschool through high school across a district that encompasses seven schools. You'll support a diverse caseload of around 40 students, ensuring their physical therapy needs are met through a blend of direct intervention and consultative services. Key Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license for California Previous experience in school‑based settings strongly preferred Skilled in delivering PT services to students ages 3–18 Effective communication abilities for collaborating with staff and families Strong organizational skills to manage a multi‑site caseload Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation Role Responsibilities Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative PT services in both general and special education environments Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and caregivers to support student goals Travel between up to seven schools within the district as needed Document progress and actively participate in IEP meetings Offer training, resources, and support to educational staff regarding students physical needs Ensure PT interventions are delivered consistently and effectively across all assigned schools Compensation for this position ranges from $43.20 to $73.20.
