Payroll Coordinator (Fully Remote) Pay: $24–$26/hr Location: Fully Remote Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM PST Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with strong California payroll experience? We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join a collaborative and growing team in a fully remote capacity. You'll play a critical role in ensuring employees receive accurate and compliant payroll support while working alongside a close-knit team with an outstanding culture. What You'll Do Process employee terminations, including calculating final paychecks, accrued PTO payouts, and state-specific compliance requirements Prepare and issue manual checks accurately and on time Manage high-volume payroll support tickets and resolve employee payroll inquiries professionally and efficiently Follow detailed payroll verification processes to ensure complete compliance with federal and state labor regulations Participate in a structured onboarding and training program to master complex compensation plans and payroll procedures Progress from smaller payroll groups to larger payroll cycles as expertise develops Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain payroll accuracy and improve processes ✅ Required Qualifications Strong experience processing California payroll Knowledge of California final paycheck laws and compliance requirements Multi-state payroll processing experience Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment ⭐ Preferred Qualifications Experience using ADP Workforce Now Healthcare or behavioral health payroll experience Previous experience handling complex payroll calculations and employee support inquiries Why Join Us?
