Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift; promptly identify and report changes in patient status
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers; document care administration thoroughly and timely
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of unintended responses
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures; translate complex medical terminology for complete understanding

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• License: Current RN license (or eligibility) to practice in Virginia
• Education: Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Experience: Willing to cross-train; acute care experience preferred but not required
• Rotating weekends required
• Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends) 12-hour shifts
• Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
