Shipping Specialist

Shipping SpecialistEastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Shipping Specialist for an established manufacturing organization in the Baraboo, Wisconsin area. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, coordinating freight activity, maintaining accurate shipping documentation, and helping ensure products are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule. This position is well suited for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with multiple shipping and computer systems, and able to balance independent responsibilities with collaboration across operations, customer service, and carrier partners.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPick, verify, package, label, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment while maintaining a high level of order accuracyProcess parcel and freight shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, and other transportation providersPrepare Bills of Lading, customs documents, shipping records, and other required transportation paperworkCoordinate carrier pickups, routing requirements, delivery schedules, and other daily shipping activitiesOperate forklifts and material-handling equipment to safely move, stage, load, and organize outgoing productsUse shipping platforms, carrier systems, and customer routing portals to schedule deliveries, submit shipment notifications, and maintain accurate transaction recordsSupport freight-quote requests, return authorizations, returned shipments, and other shipping-related needsMaintain an organized, safe, and efficient shipping area while supporting inventory accuracy and continuous improvement effortsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required3–5 years of hands-on shipping, logistics, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experienceStrong computer proficiency with the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systemsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to learn and effectively use shipping software, carrier systems, and customer routing portalsForklift certification requiredStrong attention to detail and commitment to shipping and order accuracyExcellent organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing operational needsAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environmentPreferredPrevious experience processing UPS and FedEx shipmentsExperience coordinating LTL and other freight shipmentsFamiliarity with customer-specific shipping and routing portalsPhysical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift and move up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workdayAbility to safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacksAbility to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment where temperatures may varyBenefitsMedical insurance — 100% paid for full-time employeesDental insurance — 100% paid for full-time employeesLife insurance — 100% paid for full-time employees11 paid holidaysPaid vacation after one year of employmentVision Insurance: [MISSING – PLEASE CONFIRM]401(k): [MISSING – PLEASE CONFIRM]
