Make a lasting difference in someone’s life. We’re seeking kind, compassionate volunteers to provide comfort and connection to our patients and their families. All training and ongoing support are provided by our Volunteer Coordinator. All you need to bring is your heart. Companionship Volunteer Needed Companionship volunteers provide social interaction, emotional support, and friendship to hospice patients. Our team is committed to creating a comfortable, dignified, and caring environment for our patients and their loved ones. Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license and automotive insurance, if traveling to make patient visits. Successful completion of a background check is required. Volunteers are not paid employees and do not receive compensation for their time. Currently assisting individuals in the Chicago Western Suburbs.
