But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go: Qualifications At least 2 years of leadership experience in the restaurant, hospitality or retail industry with responsibility for financial results. At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may need to drive to make deposits). Strong focus on creating a great place to work for the team and maintaining high standards for yourself and the staff. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and making customers’ day with a big smile. Visionary mindset with the ability to bring the restaurant to life by motivating the team.
