About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of two years as staff therapist required License: WI RCP required (pending license accepted) Certifications: BLS required - AHA only, NBRC - RRT required Must-Have: Pediatric and adult experience preferred COARC accredited School for Respiratory Therapy required Description: This is a 36 hours/week assignment. Work evening and night shifts, including holidays and every other weekend rotation. One on-call shift is required every six weeks. Assist patients with aerosolized medication, volume expansion, and airway clearance techniques. Provide tracheostomy care and sputum inductions to patients. Work with non-invasive ventilation, high flow, and mechanical ventilation at IMC and ICU levels. Collaborate with physicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, and other caregiving disciplines. Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for each patient. Required skills include adult critical care and various respiratory therapies. Travelers will need to float as necessary. Minimum experience of two years of acute care is required within the last three years. Telemetry exams will be required prior to the start of the assignment. Passing score of 80% or higher is necessary. This facility is ranked as one of the leading hospitals and teaching institutions.
