Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

$1836.00/week

Job Summary:

The Stepdown RN provides specialized bedside care to patients transitioning from critical care to less acute settings. This role requires balancing clinical excellence with efficient patient management during night shifts within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor patient conditions to detect early signs of deterioration.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to emergency situations and stabilize patients as needed.
  
  
• 
  Comply with all facility policies, including float requirements and safety procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of previous stepdown or IMC/PCU experience.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications; NIHSS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Able to work night shifts and adapt to rotating holiday schedules.
  
  
• 
  Capable of floating within scope to meet unit or facility needs.
