As a Forward Deployed Data Engineer, you will lead multiple migration projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction. Your role involves direct interaction with clients, managing expectations and risks while collaborating with Datafold's engineering team to enhance our migration processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to product development and operational efficiency in a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Own 1–4 migration projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, and execution.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers with weekly check-ins and expectation management.
• Configure Datafold's Migration Agent and oversee the execution of migrations.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
• Help refine and scale the product and delivery playbook as the team expands.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in data consulting, professional services, or customer-facing data engineering.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable in executive check-ins and design sessions.
• Strong knowledge of data stack technologies such as dbt, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Demonstrated extreme ownership and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using AI tools regularly to enhance work processes.
