Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable findings. The specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager and under the management of the Center Physician for medical matters. Familiarity with plasma collection industry regulations or a manufacturing environment and adherence to EHS guidelines are required. How You Will Contribute Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions as documented in SOPs and handle medical emergencies per SOPs, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance regarding donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community. What You Bring High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. License or certification as LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. BioLife Compensation And Benefits Summary Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44 for the position located in USA – TX – Harker Heights. Payout is based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and job location.
