Agency: Illinois Department of Human Services Location: Waukegan, Illinois, 60085 Salary: \$15,138–\$20,813/month (\$181,656–\$249,756/year) Position Overview Division of Developmental Disabilities seeks a Physician Specialist Option B for the Kiley Developmental Center in Waukegan, Illinois to perform general medical examinations, diagnostic and treatment services, comprehensive medical care, and to serve as an intermediary and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities. Essential Functions Perform general medical examinations and provide diagnostic and treatment services. Make daily rounds to evaluate individuals’ progress, treatment, and effectiveness of prescribed medications. Act as an intermediary and advocate for individuals during community‑based consultations, treatment, and outpatient care. Serve as Physician on call. Conduct physical examinations for prospective employees following conditional offers of employment. Provide consultation in Family Medicine to other medical and direct‑care staff. Serve as an active member on assigned committees to provide expertise in treatment and development. Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of duties. Preferred Qualifications Two years of professional experience evaluating the quality of specialized medical care and treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities. Two years of professional experience coordinating medical services with other disciplines and supportive personnel. Two years of professional experience conducting physical exams of individuals. Two years of professional experience identifying appropriate positive treatment regimes and carrying out treatments in accordance with best practices. Two years of professional experience communicating effectively, both orally and in writing. Conditions of Employment Possession of a valid Illinois Controlled Substance License. Possession of a valid United States Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate of Registration. Ability to serve as Physician on call. Ability to work after business hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr
