Registered NurseThe role involves caring for patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. Patient ratio is 1:12 utilizing a team nursing model, effectively managing to approximately 1:6/7. Candidates will engage in a diverse patient population, primarily surgical oncology patients with medical overflow. Nursing responsibilities include administering medications, managing intravenous lines, and performing wound care. Candidates must have experience with central lines and the ability to manage PCA pumps. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential. Availability for weekend and on-call duty is required. Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview process. Completion of all necessary onboarding and compliance requirements prior to start is essential. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. First-time travelers are not accepted unless they possess 5+ years of experience in the specialty. The environment is fast-paced, and adaptability is crucial for success.
