Senior Consultant - Payroll, FSI and PS Industries

About the RoleThe Payroll Senior Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday's Payroll solution for our Financial Services, Insurance (FSI) and Professional Services (PS) customers and help establish and champion best practices for all deployments. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience within the Payroll area in the FSI or PS Industries.Key Areas of ResponsibilityBecome an expert in the Workday Payroll product suiteProvide FSI and PS industry perspective for customer business requirementsEnsure FSI and PS best practices are maintained to reflect new industry requirements and trendsPerform the following on an engagement: understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist the client in testing the Workday solutionServe as a mentor for new Payroll ConsultantsEnsure the client takes advantage of Workday FSI and PS best practicesEnsure the client is referenceable once the client is in productionParticipate in update training and other events that help share one's product skills with other consultantsAbout YouBasic Qualifications5+ years of functional implementation experience in Payroll software solutions or systems3+ years Consulting experienceWorkday Deployment ExperienceAbility to travel up to 50% of the timeOther QualificationsExperience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian or similar applicationsBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experienceStrong background in Workday consulting is a plusAbility to build strong customer relationshipsAbility to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-trainingPassion for customer service.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.Strong presentation skills, with proficiency in communicating across internal teams and customers through executive leadershipExperience with multiple HCM, payroll and/or financial applications a plusResourceful and adaptable; you'll be comfortable working in a new role, using a variety of tools with a high degree of autonomyStrong industry knowledge is essential, including staying abreast of current trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments to contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and identifying new opportunities.Strong influencing skills, including persuasive communication and the ability to drive consensus and effectively collaborate with stakeholders,Exceptional relationship management skills are crucial, with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues to foster collaboration, loyalty, and a positive work environment.Proven mentorship skills, with the ability to foster individual growth and development through effective communication, constructive feedback, and goal setting, are highly valuedProven ability to effectively gather and analyze requirements through various techniques, ensuring project clarity and alignment with stakeholder needs, is critical.Strong solutions design skills, with the ability to analyze business challenges and develop effective solutions that leverage technology and optimize resources, are highly desired.Expertise in strategic business consulting, including market analysis, financial acumen, and strategic planning, to drive organizational growth and performance, is strongly desired.Excellent task management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize, organize, and execute tasks effectively to enhance workflow and productivity, are essential.Exceptional teamwork skills, including collaboration, communication, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment, are vital.Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines and enhance productivity, are key to success in this role.This position can be remote.
