Architectural Job Captain

As an Architectural Job Captain, you will own the technical execution that turns thoughtful design into coordinated, buildable work. You will help keep production on track while ensuring complex projects are delivered with a high level of quality and technical accuracy.

Performance Objectives

• Drive production of implementation documents so assigned project segments meet schedule, QA/QC, and established technical standards at every issue.

• Coordinate consultants and internal disciplines to resolve clashes, RFIs, and code and zoning requirements before they impact the project schedule.

• Lead drawing set assembly, version control, and back checks so issued packages are complete, consistent, and submission ready.

• Translate design intent into constructible details using industry standard techniques, materials research, and integrated building systems.

• Mentor junior staff on Revit, Bluebeam, and production best practices to improve overall project quality and reduce rework.

• Identify risk early, including scope gaps, code issues, and consultant delays, and bring recommended solutions to project leadership.

• Support field coordination, meeting documentation, and project closeout to help ensure constructed conditions align with the intended design.

Environment & Resources

You will report to project leadership and work within a multidisciplinary environment that may include architecture, interiors, engineering, planning, and other design professionals.

You will work extensively in Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office, with access to established specification resources, QA/QC procedures, and sustainability guidelines.

Travel for site visits, coordination meetings, and client meetings may be required depending on project needs.

Essential Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture or equivalent and typically 5 or more years of experience producing construction documents for complex building projects.

• Proven ability to take ownership of defined project segments, including code analysis, consultant coordination, and production of issue ready drawing sets.

• Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit.

• Working knowledge of Navisworks and visualization tools.

• Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, building codes, and QA/QC procedures.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead consultant coordination sessions and manage multiple deadlines.

• Architectural registration or sustainable design accreditation preferred.
