About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant Vice President for Controllership, a pivotal role within the accounting organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial operations, and a passion for leveraging technology, analytics, and AI to drive efficiency and business insight. This role is at the forefront of the company's accounting transformation, with a focus on automation, artificial intelligence, and modern finance practices. The AVP will be responsible for overseeing G&A accounting activities, monthly close processes, financial reporting support, and control execution, while also leading initiatives to modernize and enhance the effectiveness of accounting operations. Key responsibilities for the AVP include driving enterprise-wide finance transformation, implementing and optimizing ERP systems, and leading process standardization and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 7 years' of progressive accounting or finance experience, and a proven track record of leading large-scale finance transformation projects. A CPA designation is preferred, and experience with AI, machine learning, and automation technologies in finance is a plus. The role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to balance operational excellence with innovation and maintain a strong focus on compliance and data integrity. The AVP will also be responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
