Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced 1st Class Pipefitter to lay out, install, and maintain piping systems on marine vessels. This role involves working with systems such as heat and power, hydraulics, air pressure, hot water, and oil lines. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint-reading skills, hands-on experience in a marine environment, and the ability to perform precise, high-quality work alongside a team.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience in a marine environment  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings  
• Experience cutting, threading, and installing pipe and fittings  
• Ability to test systems for leaks and ensure specifications are met  
• Experience using hand tools and shop machines  
• Ability to work effectively with a helper/tacker  
• Strong attention to detail and precision 
• Experience operating a cutting torch  
• Tack welding experience 
• Ability to lay out and bore holes in bulkheads and decks  
• Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills in a production environment 
• Experience working in shipyards or vessel construction/repair
