Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - PRN

Job TitleCares for patients in nursing home under direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollows all nursing home policies and procedures governing the care of the residentAnswers call lights, safety alarms or paging system to determine patients' needsBathes, dresses, and undresses patientsServes and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring assistanceTransports patients or assists patients to walkAssists patients during examinations and treatments, and remains with patients to perform such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lightsTurns and repositions bedfast patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent pressure ulcersChanges bed linens, empties trash cans, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephoneTakes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directedAll Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) must be accurately documented using either computerized means (or manual as necessary)Other duties may be assignedCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent Colorado Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) certificateTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
