Quality Lab Associate I, Microbiology

Quality Lab Associate position supporting microbiology testing operations at Baxter's Round Lake manufacturing facility. The role involves conducting biological testing on pharmaceutical products and materials, environmental monitoring, and maintaining laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sterility, endotoxin, and biological testing on raw materials and finished products
- Perform facility environmental monitoring including surfaces, air, and personnel sampling
- Prepare media and reagents; operate laboratory instrumentation and LIMS systems
- Author and revise laboratory procedures and investigations; maintain data integrity
- Support improvement projects using LEAN principles and prepare quality system reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in microbiology or equivalent with laboratory coursework
- 0-2 years of laboratory experience
- Proficiency with LIMS (laboratory information management systems)
- Knowledge of basic biology and microbiology principles including aseptic technique
- No allergies to penicillin, cephalosporin, or related products
- Knowledge of GLP and cGMP pharmaceutical requirements preferred
