Senior Android Developer

Salary: $124,800 - 145,600 per year Requirements:

• 5–8+ years of professional mobile development experience focused on Android.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Extensive experience with the Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and modern UI frameworks, including Jetpack Compose and Material Design.
• Experience with Retrofit, Room, SQLite, and asynchronous data handling.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Preferred: Familiarity with financial or enterprise-scale applications.
• Preferred: Apps published on the Google Play Store.

• Design and develop robust, responsive Android applications from scratch, and enhance existing large-scale codebases.
• Own application architecture, including MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture, and uphold SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, JSON, WebSockets, and backend services.
• Profile and improve performance, resolve memory leaks, reduce crashes and ANRs, and create unit and instrumentation tests using JUnit and Espresso.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, review code, collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Manage Git-based source control, contribute to automated CI/CD pipelines, and support Google Play Store releases.

The W2 hourly rate is $60–$70; other engagement options, including corp-to-corp, may be available.
