Registered Nurse - Surgical Oncology - Days

Position Details Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 (based on experience and expertise). Position: Registered Nurse, Surgical Oncology Locations: Edward Hospital and Elmhurst Center for Health, Naperville and Elmhurst, IL Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm (no weekends or holidays). Responsibilities Develop a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes. Evaluate patients’ progress toward attainment of outcomes, systematically revising diagnoses, interventions, and expected outcomes as needed. Provide patient assessment and collect health data involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers. Communicate the plan of care to patients and families regularly, respecting their perceptions of health and illness and engaging in mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Communicate patient data to physicians and interdisciplinary team members as indicated to meet patient care needs. Document patient health data, interventions, and communications. Individualize patient and family teaching based on assessments to meet specific learning needs; assess cultural background, learning style, and barriers, and modify teaching plans accordingly. Provide teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care, and drug information when appropriate. Identify community resources to support patient self‑management of disease. Interact with and contribute to professional development of peers, students, and other healthcare providers. Share knowledge, provide feedback, and foster an environment supportive of clinical education. Assign or delegate tasks as needed. Provide psychological support to nurture a compassionate environment. Comply with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Education: Associate’s in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred). Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure (required). Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (required).
