Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments for patients in acute care and determine appropriate treatment plans
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy goals and plans of care
- Provide bedside therapy and educate patients and families on communication strategies and swallowing safety
- Document patient progress in medical records and participate in rounds and care conferences
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nurses, physicians, therapists, social work) to support discharge planning and continuity of care
- Maintain infection control and safety practices while delivering services

Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the assignment state (California) or ability to obtain licensure as required
- Ability to work in an acute care setting and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong documentation skills and professional clinical judgment
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and adapt to new care environments
- Prior experience in an acute care or hospital-based setting is preferred
