General Maintenance Technician — Apartment Community
Location: Rochester Hills, MI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: Up to $21.00/hour

Overview
Entry-level apartment maintenance role for someone with a construction, trades, or hands-on background who wants to transition into residential property maintenance. This is a practical, day-shift position focused on routine repairs and building upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete work orders: basic carpentry, painting, drywall patching, flooring touch-ups, and appliance swaps
• Perform routine plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting within training limits; escalate complex issues
• Assist with move‐in/move‐out turnovers and unit preparations
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exterior as directed
• Track work completed, maintain supplies, and report safety or code concerns

Qualifications

• Construction, trade, or hands-on experience preferred (2+ years helpful but not required)
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or appliance repair; willingness to learn on the job
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
• Good communication and customer-service attitude
